In Awe...

Somedays I am in so much awe of the world we live in. I wake up and see the moon outside while the sun rises. I hear birds singing everyday and hear the passing of the cars drive by. In the evening I see the stars up above and the trees swaying with the breeze.

Recently I have become a father (just in time for Father’s Day) It is an amazing feeling and hope I will never grow old of this feeling. I never want to take it for granted. I want to stay in awe of it forever.

I see so many people nowadays who aren’t excited for each new day. Who are beaten down by the day to day. They would rather complain or just read twitter news feeds. Fight that urge. Please fight that urge of feeling like you have nothing left to give or that the world isn’t spectacular. That ugly complacency feeling is a disease. Remember, each new day brings a chance for it to get better or to experience something amazing. Keep your eyes open.

Life is amazing! Don’t be cynical! Keep on living and trying new things. I mean we have the internet right at our fingertips. You literally can learn anything you want. How can we not be amazed at the this beauty we grow old in?

Love every minute and experience life . Somedays are going to be annoying, a lot of people are annoying, but don’t let that ruin your life.

Even when the claws dig deep...

Claws digging deep,

Tearing and crushing,

Never any sleep.

Holding me down,

Harder to breathe,

Feeling my lungs squeeze.

Blurry vision,

Losing hope,

Crushed beneath its mighty weight.

Weathered and worn,

Beaten and torn,

Remember,

It’s not over yet,

until you hear the heavenly horns, mourn.

Lately life has been crushing me with her mighty claws, strangling me and holding me down. she’s relentless and won’t let me breathe. It’s strange how sometimes life can be so awesome and wonderful and then in a blink it can change rapidly and dramatically. Like a wool sweater unravelling right before you go out the door for a first date, or treading water while your cramps increase, then a great white shark is right underneath. In these instances of rapid change and chaos all around you. I want you to know that it will get better. Life will get better. Whether it’s trouble at work, or failing at school, or feeling worthless and used, YOU ARE AMAZING! Keep being your awesome, positive self, keep learning how to adapt to this awful chaos. Don’t let these present moments define your future self. Don’t let life beat you and pin you down forever.

Keep Fighting,

Keep crawling,

Never stop trying!

Whatever pain you are going through remember you can do it.
