Hi I’m Rex Felixx

Why I do what I do.

Ryan Jarosz October 29, 2024

Hey,
So I know a lot of you know me but some of you are new to the Rex Felixx experience.

Here are a few things about me.

1.I have two eyes,

2.Anose

3. Love to sing, dance , and play guitar….

Ok for real though.

4. I do love eating spaghettios and edamame.

OK seriously, though….

I grew up in Buffalo, NY and have always been a goofy oddball person who loved to make people laugh. I come from a long history of artists who inspired me daily, to use that imagination.
Now, all grown up (37) and having too many gray hairs to count, I decided to continue this journey of assisting the world in understanding they can use imagination every single day and not be a potato too mature for play.
We don’t have to work a job we hate and never think about anything else. Can you imagine if you were 25 years of age, and found the (perfect) job and never thought about anything else except that?

Sad. ( Like ice cream melted in the sun before eating it sad.)

Rex Felixx has always been apart of me, and I am apart of it. The whole purpose of it is to show the world through my writings, drawings, and personality, that we can be true to our own self. Who cares what other people may chatter when we are doing something we love. King Happy (Rex Felixx) is all about inspiring people who feel down on their luck, who are stuck, or just bored with life. Everyday I wake up hoping to bring a smile to someone’s day, or a creative spark in a poem I write.

One little spark…

to get that imagination growing again!

You want to bake? Cool go bake it.
You love to sing? Great go and do open mic
You like doing marathons? Amazing go and run (I’m tired thinking about 26 miles)

Please if you can’t remember anything I write in this post, remember this

YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
STOP BEING SHY ABOUT HOW AWESOME YOU ARE!!

Get out there and start living, stop ignoring that little voice inside your heart telling you to dream.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

P.S. I want spaghettios

Dance! Dance!

Ryan Jarosz February 3, 2022

Ok so these winter blues have gotten me a little… well blue. The monotony of each day can really feel like a grind.

Punching in,

Punching out,

Below freezing temperatures for a month straight.

The sun sets at like noon. ok 4:30 EST.

Well I have a great idea!

After your work day is over

go to your laptop, tv, radio, bluetooth speaker etc. and put on you favorite dance song

and “ Get Jiggy Wit It!'“ Seriously belt out your favorite song and go crazy dancing. Dance like no one is watching. I mean literally no one should be watching you in your home. (unless you live in a glass house , or George Mcfly is creeping in your window.)

Anyways, we still have weeks of winter, instead of being bored and tired and groggy and angry that the weather isn’t changing, go have some fun!

I need some songs to dance to, so send me songs that are your favorite.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

Non-Dominant Hands & Comfort Zones

Ryan Jarosz December 9, 2021

I think it’s so funny when I try to do anything with my left hand. As you can see with the above drawing my left hand penmanship is so awful, it’s almost like I was driving my car over a million potholes while trying to do my kindergarten homework of ABC’s and Shapes drawing. ( or is that how i really draw?)

It’s important to put yourself in different situations in life and see what happens. Try writing with your non-dominant hand a see how bad you write, or wake up earlier and sit in silence. (break the routine) I even once tried to brush my teeth with my left hand, and it is one of the hardest things I have ever done. Staring into the mirror as my awkward left hand goes up and down, up and down like a Giraffe flailing it’s long neck trying to impress its mate on the grassy savannah of the Serengeti. Creativity is an awesome thing that can strike at any time by doing things that are different. It’s always a great idea to have structure and a schedule, but having different perspectives can help you with your relationships, career, and bettering yourself. If you are feeling bored, and in a rut, try doing something different and see what happens. What do you have to lose? Your future self will thank you later.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

P.S. I once tried running with two left shoes, it didn’t really work to well. I think I did end up running a 45 minute mile though, which is pretty good… hahahahaahahahah…jk

Pay the Troll

Ryan Jarosz August 5, 2021

Pay the Toll

until the troll is full.

Distraction,

Procrastination

is your final destination.

The procrastination troll is running rampant these days. Everyday, I feel like I never have enough time to get stuff done. I always feel like I wait til the last minute to get things done. Whether it is yard work, doing laundry, balancing the bank accounts, reading a new book, or learning a new recipe the list goes on and on and on. However, I always have time to scroll through social media, or watch 15 episodes of Netflix. It’s comical how we put ourselves in these positions, and complain we never have enough time.

The troll is always lurking in your mind, waiting to ask for his toll to allow us to continue working. he distracts us with so many flashy, fun things to do besides our task at hand. He makes us feel good for a split second as our mind wanders through the day.

The time is now to break his toll bridge and continue our path to greatness. Enough is enough, no more scrolling through hours of mindless streaming or social media screening. Imagine if, instead of saying we will finish it later, we actually just did it. Then we would never have the troll delaying our tasks for years on end. Imagine if, instead of scrolling through social media for 3 hours a day, we started learning a new language. I would probably be fluent in 4 languages by now. Procrastination is the worst and I am going to combat it as best I can, maybe I’ll even start by doing it, tomorrow… hahah I’m kidding.

Don’t let the troll control your life.

Stay awesome!

Do great things today.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

Even when the claws dig deep...

Ryan Jarosz April 15, 2021

Claws digging deep,

Tearing and crushing,

Never any sleep.

Holding me down,

Harder to breathe,

Feeling my lungs squeeze.

Blurry vision,

Losing hope,

Crushed beneath its mighty weight.

Weathered and worn,

Beaten and torn,

Remember,

It’s not over yet,

until you hear the heavenly horns, mourn.

Lately life has been crushing me with her mighty claws, strangling me and holding me down. she’s relentless and won’t let me breathe. It’s strange how sometimes life can be so awesome and wonderful and then in a blink it can change rapidly and dramatically. Like a wool sweater unravelling right before you go out the door for a first date, or treading water while your cramps increase, then a great white shark is right underneath. In these instances of rapid change and chaos all around you. I want you to know that it will get better. Life will get better. Whether it’s trouble at work, or failing at school, or feeling worthless and used, YOU ARE AMAZING! Keep being your awesome, positive self, keep learning how to adapt to this awful chaos. Don’t let these present moments define your future self. Don’t let life beat you and pin you down forever.

Keep Fighting,

Keep crawling,

Never stop trying!

Whatever pain you are going through remember you can do it.

Peace out,

Rex Felixx
