Dance! Dance!

Ok so these winter blues have gotten me a little… well blue. The monotony of each day can really feel like a grind.

Punching in,

Punching out,

Below freezing temperatures for a month straight.

The sun sets at like noon. ok 4:30 EST.

Well I have a great idea!

After your work day is over

go to your laptop, tv, radio, bluetooth speaker etc. and put on you favorite dance song

and “ Get Jiggy Wit It!'“ Seriously belt out your favorite song and go crazy dancing. Dance like no one is watching. I mean literally no one should be watching you in your home. (unless you live in a glass house , or George Mcfly is creeping in your window.)

Anyways, we still have weeks of winter, instead of being bored and tired and groggy and angry that the weather isn’t changing, go have some fun!

I need some songs to dance to, so send me songs that are your favorite.

Be kind homies...

I don’t know if it is just me coming back from vacation and being in the sunshine for a week straight. Or maybe it’s from being at the “ Happiest place on earth” hanging with Goofy and Mickey. I feel refreshed and ready to rock and roll. Being in sunny Florida makes me realize that its okay to be friendly and kind. Up in the great north I feel like we become so jaded and callous towards people sometimes. We keep our heads down and walk quickly to point A to point B. I don’t want to blame it on the weather and never seeing sunlight for almost half the year… but I am blaming on the weather. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt my whole trip in Florida in the middle of January. It was glorious.

It shouldn’t be like pulling teeth to be kind to each other, in fact it should make us feel good to do something nice. I think I am going to put forward a more conscious effort this week to be friendlier and bring some of that Florida sunshine up north. Be a beacon of positive energy to all the people you greet. Maybe we can melt the snow a little more quickly with our happiness towards ourselves and each other. Who am I kidding? There will probably be snow until the 4th of July fireworks go off.

Flocking around

Is it me, or does it seem like so many people are so serious all the time. Everyone has an opinion on this, that or whatever else it is to help them sleep better at night. I think it’s okay to be silly and have fun and take a day off from the serious faces. Sit back and enjoy yourself and goof off, I mean flock off. (hahaha sorry dumb cheesy pun) I could actually go for some cheese. Anyways, we should all lighten up and have fun this week. Maybe even next week have some fun too before the winter winds come and make us all depressed with its cold and frost bite on our faces until March of next year.
