Cheesy Cheesy CHEEEESEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Ryan Jarosz February 28, 2024

Give me cheese
Hold the milk,

only cheese and ice creamy
frozen make it scream for joy.
I want the string cheese fiasco
and loads of tabasco.
SO much fun to eat the yellow
but afterwards I need a nap,
and then sleep and be so mellow.
On second thought,

maybe I shouldn’t…
eat all this dairy,
Cuz now my tum tum is
feeling rather scary.
Not to mention

very, very hairy.

RF

Okay so as you can tell I love cheese. I made a poem about cheese.
I grew up on cheese.

There were many holidays growing up, where I would have to grate lbs and lbs of cheddar, monterey jack, colby, swiss etc etc for the family to devour before we would then go and sit down and eat twelve lbs of prime rib. Our holiday family dinners were and still are the best memories for me. Most of the time it revolved around some sort of dairy. (Pizza, ice cream, cheese trays.)

Side note: dairy does bind us together if we eat too much of it (LOL).

In all seriousness though, it doesn’t matter what food you eat with your family. It’s the memories, the smells, the laughter that are meaningful and that we will remember even when we are old and gray.

I think there are many people out there who have had similar stories about cheese. If you enjoy cheese families as much as me, let me know, maybe we can collaborate on a cheese tray for that next party that we attend with each other’s families.

Cheers… I mean cheese,

Rex Felixx

Sourssssssss

Ryan Jarosz September 2, 2022

There was a time when I was a younger person (aka as a child), and i went to the candy store down the street from our house. Inside this candy store they had penny candy. Now for all you young people, penny candy was a real thing. You could go into a store and buy one piece of candy for the cost of a penny, not a dollar, but a penny. Those were the best days. Anyways, this candy store had everything from Swedish fish, to jawbreakers. On the right hand corner of the shelf was a new type of candy called Warheads. They were a tiny candy in the shape of a circle individually wrapped for your enjoyment. (my mouth is watering thinking about it.) I had no idea at the time that these candies were the most deadliest, sour thing I have ever eaten in my life. I decided to buy 10 of them.

If you have ever had a warhead, you know that they are very sour and can cause pain to your taste buds. Sadly, I was nine years old and not smart.

Now I had about 10 of these warheads in my hands and I thought “Hmm geez whiz, this sounds fun to eat all of these warheads at once and enjoy them all together not individually.” (Again, I am nine, and not very bright.) In the mouth they went. Blue, red, yellow, green, all the colors of the rainbow into that hole in my face. Now, I have been hit by a car and broke my leg, I kind of knew what pain was. It was about 3 seconds later that I realized what “real” pain was. My mouth twisted and shriveled in many many different directions due to the intense flavors of this sugary candy. In an instant my eyes were watered, and my gums of my teeth were on fire from the Warheads. Luckily I was alone by myself at the park so no one could see me crying. I mean if you cried at nine years old, you were considered a baby.

But I learned two valuable lessons that day. Never ever eat ten warheads at a time and also never open a candy store selling penny candies. You will never make a profit and survive. The store shut down a few years after the warhead incident, most likely due to kids complaining that their taste buds exploded, not because the store made no profits. My taste buds got burned off that day and I don’t think I have ever recovered. Actually, now that I think of it, I haven’t been able to taste certain foods. I wonder if being nine years old ruined my whole adult tasting career. I will never be a professional food taster anymore. My dreams are shattered… Oh well on that note, time to go get some fun dip and pixie sticks to finish of this work week.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

P.S. my mouth is still watering from the sours

What was I doing?

Ryan Jarosz July 23, 2022

An elephant never forgets, but a Rex Felixx always does. I noticed recently that I have not been able to remember as well as I have in the past. (I mean I am 35 now so I am pretty old) I’m not sure if its because I keep so much information on my phone that I don’t need to remember as much. Or I have too much information hitting me 24/7 that I can’t process it as quickly or retain as much as I want to.

I want to be able to remember memories and important dates in my head up until i’m into my nineties. I have to start thinking about using my brain to work it out and push it to remember more. I have seen supplements and other products used to help increase memory strength. I also noticed crossword puzzles or other mind games that can potentially help. If anyone has any other remedies that they use or solutions let me know. I also feel like it is hard to gauge if I am retaining more information after doing mind exercises. It’s not like training in the gym where you can work at a certain muscle group and see results. That could be a reason why I struggle with trying new ways to help with my memory. It harder to see results or even notice the results. I’m open to anything and everything. The mind is a terrible thing to waste, and we all want to remember as much as we can for as long we can.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

P.S. Anyone know where I left my car keys?

Silencio! Silencio!

Ryan Jarosz September 17, 2021

Anyone else having this old man in their head trying to deter them from doing something?

Not kidding, this past Monday I was laying in bed feeling exhausted and worn out from the weekend , but I wanted to get up at 5:30 to go to the gym. The gym for me is a special place where I can go and destress and obviously lift heavy things, because I’m like a Neanderthal . “Me lift heavy things.” Anyways, I was in bed and my alarm went off, immediately this old man was saying,

“Hey go to sleep, rest a little, you had a hard night.” He was relentless.

“Don’t worry about the gym, you can work out later. Working out is overrated.”

I was so close to hitting snooze button and roll back over and hold my wife and call it a day. Maybe I would even sleep until noon and not work that day. Then I decided quickly in my brain to shut that old man up. I jumped up out of bed and started saying “Silencio! Silencio!” Don’t ask me why i said it in Italian, but it worked! It felt amazing to beat up on an old man (figuratively obviously, I’m no monster. I love old people.) Whenever an old man or old woman creeps into your mind to deter you from waking up to go to the gym, or try to delay your from finishing a task remember to say “Silencio! Silencio!” hey will run away and leave you be for that day.

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

P.S. I wonder what kind of house he lives in, His address is probably something like 345 Sycamore lane .

Planksss

Ryan Jarosz May 20, 2021

I love exercising a lot. Mostly heavylifitng and strength training. Don‘t ask me to run a marathon though, I’d probably fall over and roll off a cliff. Haha. But if you want me to lift a fridge, sure, I’ll be right over. One thing I can’t stand doing is planks. Planks are the worst. I mean it sounds like it should be pretty easy. 1 minute isn’t that long. A walk in the park some would say. You just stand still, no big deal.

Nope, nope, nope! Time freezes whenever I try to do it. It’s worse than watching water boil. Go ahead give it try today. I dare you to do a 1 minute plank today. Then tomorrow give it a try for 2 minutes. It will crush you into oblivion. I think it’s a good thing to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable. To put yourself out there and try something new. If planks aren’t your thing, then give it a try. If you’re a weirdo and loves to plank for 20 minutes, then try something else that makes you uncomfortable.

Goals for week:

(with as little rest as possible)

Day 1: 1 minute plank

Day 2: 2 minute plank

Day 3: 3 minute plank

Your body will despise you in the moment then love you later.

“The more you seek the uncomfortable,

the more you will become comfortable.” Connor McGregor

Cheers,

Rex Felixx

P.S. I love all training ideas let me know any good ideas yall have.
